Holly Streekstra lives and works in Indianapolis, USA. She received an MFA from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, in 2006. Her work has been exhibited at numerous institutions nationally and internationally, including the Minnesota Museum of American Art in St. Paul; Woman Made Gallery, Chicago; Recession Art, Brooklyn; ArtsWest, Seattle; and Fulton Street Center for the Arts, Boise, ID, in collaboration with choreographer Leah Clark and Drop Dance Collective. She also collaborates with Hungarian artist Dávid Adamkó.
She works in a variety of media, including video, audio, performance, and general object making, often focusing on ideas of time, technology, cultural myths, and illusion.
